Letter of Recommendation from D.B. Schroeder

Co-Founder/Former Artistic Director of Thunder & Lightning Ensemble, Current Artistic Director of Puzzle Piece Theatre

It has been my pleasure to work with Kristine on many occasions both as Director and in my capacities as Artistic Director.  Kristine is a rare talent and her work from design to execution is simply astounding.  I have given her seemingly insurmountable and impossible projects to design, a 14 member late 1800s period piece with a budget of less than $300 comes to mind, and she always finds ways to not only create work that exceeds expectations but quite frankly astounds!  She is a joy to work with and brings a strong insightful, creative, collaborative, and thoughtful presence to any Artistic Team.  You would be hard pressed to find a stronger designer, and I plan to have her design as many of my future projects as her schedule allows.

Letter of Recommendation from Julia Macholl

Performing Arts Department Chair and Director, North Shore Country Day School

It is with great pleasure that I write to recommend Kristine Fachet for any costume design, education, or building opportunities.  I have worked with Kristine as a director for the past five years, and could not be happier with her strong leadership and organizational skills.  Her passion for designing and willingness to educate students about their costumes is demonstrated with each production.

Kristine has worked with both our Middle School and Upper School (9-12) Performing Arts students.  Kristine is skilled with working within a tight timeline, while handling a big cast (sometimes up to 75 students) at a time.  Kristine also assists with our Upper School costume crew, which changes with each production.  She will organize projects for the students to work on while not present, and will guide them during measurements, costume parades, and tech week.

When working with Kristine as a director, she is always diligent about reading the plays/musicals at hand, and then coming to our first production meeting with design ideas, swatches, and renderings.  She has plenty of connections with local costume shops, and is gifted at making costumes from scratch, putting garments together with our own inventory, or renting selections while minding our budget.

Kristine has worked with us on almost every type of genre from dramas, children’s plays, musicals, to Madrigals and dance pieces.  It is an absolute pleasure to work with such a dedicated artist who can truly do it all.
